How Does Naturopathic Medicine Increase Fertility?

Diet and proper supplements can play a major role in fertility.

An improper diet can trigger inflammation in the body, thus effecting the ovaries.

There is research to support that those who consume a diet high in whole grains, plant-based proteins and full-fat dairy products and low in trans fats have fewer fertility problems.

Healthy Omega oils can help to regulate hormone production.

Various anti-oxidants can provide benefits at the cellular level, helping to improve egg quality.

How Does Acupuncture Increase Fertility?

Acupuncture can increase fertility by reducing stress. Stress is very often a key contributing factor to infertility in both men and women.

When people are under stress, the hormone cortizol is released in the brain. This alters the brain's neurochemical balance, thus changing hormone levels and disrupting the pituitary balance that is key to the reproductive cycle. Acupuncture is a proven, highly effective treatment for stress.

Hormonal imbalances can be another key factor in infertility. Such imbalances can interfere with ability of the ovaries to produce and release a healthy, mature egg. In addition, hormonal imbalances in men can negatively effect sperm mobility and production.

According to several studies and medical research, Fertility Acupuncture creates increased blood flow to the reproductive organs and helps balance the endocrine system, both of which improve function and facilitate improved production of healthy eggs and sperm.

Research: Acupuncture normalizes imbalances in the hypothalamic-pituitary-ovarian axis (Chen 1997).

Acupuncture has been shown to increase thickness in the endometrial lining (Yu W et al. 2007).

Acupuncture has been shown to increase blood flow to the uterus (Chang et al. 2002, Stener-Victorin et al. 1996).
