MASSAGE THERAPY SERVICES

MASSAGE THERAPY TECHNIQUES

Listed below are the techniques that our RMTs may use during treatment where applicable. Each RMT adjusts based on the best option to meet the needs of the patient.

Swedish Massage

Swedish massage utilizes a firm pressure on the muscles and involves a series of long yet gliding strokes to increase blood circulation, ease tension in the body’s muscles and improve the muscles’ flexibility. Great for stress management.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massage is a type of massage that aims at affecting the deeper tissue structure of the muscles. It also affects the connective tissue, known as fascia. Deep tissue massage helps with both small muscle injuries as well as chronic problems.

Myofascial Release

Myofascial release is a manual therapy technique used to focus on pain arising from myofascial tissues — the tough membranes that wrap, connect and support your muscles.

Joint Mobilization

RMTs treat patients with joint mobilization issues by applying slow movements to the restricted joint, within a small, precise range of motion.

Trigger Point Release

Trigger point massage therapy is specifically designed to alleviate the source of the pain through cycles of isolated pressure and release. The patient actively participates through deep breathing as well as identifying the exact location and intensity of the discomfort.'

Sports Massage

Ideal before, during, and after athletic training and events with a focus on muscle recovery, tension reduction and injury prevention through promotion of flexibility and restoration of mobility.

Prenatal Massage

Prenatal massage is specifically tailored to the needs of pregnant women. Our Therapists who are trained in prenatal massage will utilize a pregnancy massage pillow and/or will adjust the positioning of their patient during treatment.

Pediatric and Infant Massage

Massage Therapy intended to promote health and well-being for infants, children and adolescents by taking into consideration each child's individual physical development, cognitive development and health care needs.
